OHIO VALLEY OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION – BASKETBALL

Minutes of the Board

November 1, 2005

Members Present: Tim Baumgardner, Ray Vaughn, Bill Smith, Mick Sharkey, Terry Roy, Clint Bard, Whit Hickman, Tom Delisio, Tom Huiet, Virgil Knapke, Jim Manning, David Shire, Jon Sagers, Don Schneider

Members Absent: Tom Driggers, Andy Larkins

  • Vaughn outline the association tournament official’s selection process with the board.
  • Moved to start the voting period on November 7 and run for a two-week period concluding on November 21.
  • Moved to have ballots counted by the election committee and certified by the Board.
  • Moved to pay election committee $100 plus $10 per hour for every hour the counting takes in excess of 10 hours.
  • Vaughn presented copy of ballot for the Board’s inspection.
  • Moved to call tournament-selected officials and confirm their eligibility and desire to officiate in the tournament prior to submission of list to the OHSAA.  Should a selected official disqualify himself or herself the next official in the ranking shall be elevated to the selected list.
  • Moved to adjourn 8:45 PM.
